Meet the staff

Richard Stirling is Managing Director of Murrayfield Ice RInk and with the exception of a period in the 1980's has worked at the rink since the age of 15 performing in every position within the business.

Richard played hockey with the Raiders, Royals and Racers through the 1960's and 70's and also had a brief spell with Bournemouth Stags in the early 80's. Along with other members of staff he relishes the atmosphere this aging rink can create, something which new modern arenas struggle to emulate. Over the years he has overseen many improvements to the facility in order to ensure a continuing ice facility for the community.
